Sport stats 2011

This year I'd like to summarize some of my sport statistics. They're nothing I should be proud of, because I'm lazy guy, but just to remember:

1. I've made 314 km running
2. I've made 730 km biking
3. I've made 139 km hiking
4. I've made 20 km walking

It means I've made 1203 km with different kinds of sport. It's 3-4 times more than in 2010 and I'd like to even double this number in 2012.

Interesting statistics are also:
1. I've burnt 74050 kilocalories for doing 1203 km.
2. My average speed was 9.46 km/h (all sports)
3. It has taken me only 127h 13minut to make 1203 km

Funny :)

2011 Summary and the plans for 2012

This year was good. I've visited many interesting places, met many talented people and taken a lot of pics. Let's try to summarize:
1. Biebrza winter weekend - Jan'11
2. Biebrza spring weekend - Mar'11
3. Visit to Moszna Castle - Apr'11
4. Bieszczady, Łańcut and Sandomierz with kids - May'11
5. Tatra Mountains - workshop with Maciek Duczyński - Jun'11
6. Białowieża weekend - first time there - Jul'11
7. Mazury AirShow - Aug'11
8. Karkonosze with kids - Aug'11
9. Radom AirShow - Aug'11
10. Tatra Mountains - workshop with Fetish - Sep'11
11. AXALP 2011 + Tuscany trip - Oct'11
12. Tatra Mountains with kids - Nov'11
13. Złodziejewo workshop with Gregor Laubsch - Nov'11
14. Winter trip to Bieszczady - Dec'11

I don't have exact plans for 2012 yet, but I have some dreams and some options to choose:
1. Take picture of an eagle in Poland (winter)
2. Snowdownia National Park - maybe during long weekend in May?
3. Tuscany in late spring - have idea of few pics to take (probably June?)
4. Mount Blanc 4-day hike (Jun/Jul?)
5. Kilimanjaro hike and some pics taken (Aug/Sep?)
6. Alberta province in Canada (if not Kilimanjaro then definitely Canada is an option!)
7. Cuba or Key West or New Orleans - I dream of one of these places (February would be perfect, but probably not this year)

And definitely I'll not forgot to visit:
1. Biebrza
2. Białowieża and bisons there
3. Karkonosze/Tatry/Bieszczady
4. Mazury Airshow and maybe some other airshows in Poland (but this is not good year for them)
5. Axalp 2012 and Swiss Alps - it seems to become a rule in my life

So above I've some ideas and now I must think how to transform them into reality. As usual I wish you Happy New Year 2012 and please wish me luck with my plans :)

Winter Warsaw by night #1

I like to take night shots. Of course it's not easy to motivate myself to get to the city with tripod and camera, but sometimes it happens and here are results of such one spontaneous trip to city center.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

So we have Christmas again. And again I'd like to wish you Marry Christmas. I wish you had snow around, I wish you had a lot of gear under your tree, I wish you had peace of mind, I wish you had good health and I wish you had everything you can imagine!

I know this picture is poor, but I've taken it myself, so I'm proud of it :)

Kasprowy Wierch

During November long weekend I hiked to Kasprowy Wierch. Trail is not very difficult and the only problem we had was a lot of people there and a little snow at the top. But I like few pictures taken there at that time.

My new NAS

Pictures take a lot of space. More pictures take even more. I had so many mobile hard drives that I usually don't know what to find where. Moreover I've every hard drive doubled. Recently I've started to getting lost in my storage space spread over the flat. Decided to sort it out once forever (or at least for 2-3 years). I've bought NAS array from Iomega (EMC). It appeared to be great stuff. In raid5 I've about 6TB space to allocate and I can use my old hard drives for archiving and off-site backup. It seems we have at home what few years ago we had in the office. Time flies, live changes, prices go up. This is the only direction if you want to seriously approach picture storage...think of it. Buy Iomega!

Sicilian Restaurant in Milan

Just few days after I came back from Italy, I had to get back to Milan. This time it was business reason. Weather was awful, very rainy and cold, but fortunately our Italian friends have taken us to great Sicilian restaurant in Milan. It's name was Ristorante Al Merluzzo Felice (located at Via Lazzaro Papi 6, 20135 Milano, Italy, tel. 02 5454711) and to get inside you have to book it in advance. Place is very small - max. 20 people can be there at once, because it has only 5 or 6 tables. Just typical small family place. But everything I got there was very tasty and original.
Especially the wine our buddies recommended was perfect! It was called Leone D'Almerita (label below) and came from Sicilly. Definitely recommended to get there, have dinner and this great wine!
Sorry for pictures quality, but I hadn't my camera with me, so had to use iPhone :(
